2018 ABTA Doctoral Researcher Awards

To promote and reward academic and scientific excellence among young researchers pursuing doctoral degrees in the UK, Association of British Turkish Academics (ABTA) announces 2018 ABTA Doctoral Researcher Awards. The awards will be given in three categories:1. Natural & Life Sciences2. Engineering Sciences3. Management & Social Sciences Applications will be accepted from PhD candidates or recent graduates of UK universities in all academic fields of study. Please submit your application via dra.abtanet.org.uk by Monday, 5 March, 2018. The applications will be assessed by prominent British and Turkish academics working at the UK universities. While norms of what constitutes ‘academic citizenship’ are increasingly global, academic freedom is under acute threat due to censorship and persecution of academics by state and non-state actors in various locations around the world.
