ABTA Doctoral Research Travel Awards is one of the two categories of ABTA’s new initiative of ABTA Academic Mobility Programme.

The scheme will enable successful doctoral students, post-doctoral students and researchers to visit prestigious Turkish universities and present their academic work and network with their fellow academics. This will allow the host universities to increase their international research perceptions and serve towards a more mobile international academic community.

The Awardees will be selected by the Program Committee on the basis of the scientific quality of their submitted abstracts and their academic achievements. The Award will cover accommodation and flight expenses. Each academic visit will be around four days, two days for academic and two days for touristic purposes.

Who can apply?
 Doctoral students in UK higher education or research institutions
 Post-doctoral researchers in UK higher education or research institutions
 Applicants must have a published article which they can present during their academic visit if they are successful in their application
 Winners of previous ABTA Doctoral Researcher Awards are strongly encouraged to apply. However, the competition is open to all categories of applicants advertised in the first two lines.
 Not previously received the same award from ABTA. Researchers who previously received the Doctoral Research Travel Award may participate in the academic trips by covering their own expenses.
