Science & Engineering Faculty Networking Reception was held on 25th of May 2011 at the University College London. Academics from a broad range of fields such as Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering had a chance to share their personal and academic experiences in the reception.
The event started in the evening at the University College London with a welcoming speech by, Dr. Ozgur Yazaydin. He briefly outlined the importance of such networking meetings and informed the participants about future events which will be organized by ABTA.
After the introduction, Proffessor Izzet Kale, from Westminster University, who is a member of advisory board of ABTA, talked about his long and successful academic career in UK and challenges he faced. He gave crucial advice to new British-Turkish academics about the steps that they need to take in their early careers to become leaders in their fields.
The speech was followed by socialising and networking gatherings in the Terrace Restaurant of UCL with a light dinner and delightful refreshments.
