As part of the Academic Mobility Programme, ABTA organised this year's academic trip to Edinburgh on the 14th and 15th of October 2016. Participants, consisting of four PhD students and three postdocs, visited the University of Edinburgh and its colleges interacted with the faculty and shared their research perspectives. On the first day of the trip, the visiting group was hosted by the head of the College of Science & Engineering, Professor Lesley Yellowlees who informed guests about the university's research strategies, government structure as well as the research opportunities followed by a nice tour of the university's pretty campus. In the afternoon, the participants gave presentations and had individual research meetings with the relevant research staff of the university. On the second day, the participants did a full day of sightseeing where they explored Edinburgh's unique historical heritage and enjoyed Edinburgh's spectacular scene.
